IT help desk
Daem
A complete help desk for IT teams: people send tickets, agents work a queue with SLA targets, managers watch live dashboards and reports.
At a glance
- 3
- roles: user, agent, admin
- 4
- languages with Arabic RTL
- 0
- frameworks or build steps
- 2
- databases: SQLite or MySQL
The goal
Small IT teams lose requests in e-mail and WhatsApp: nobody knows what is open, what is late or who works on it. Daem gives every request a number, an owner and a deadline, and shows the team the whole queue.
What it shows
- Tickets
- Category, priority, files, a full conversation; a reply to a solved ticket opens it again.
- Service levels
- SLA targets per priority, first-answer and solve times, late tickets at the top.
- Knowledge base
- Articles suggested while you type the subject, so many questions never become tickets.
- Agents
- A work queue with filters, internal notes, assign and change status on the ticket.
- Managers
- Live dashboard, 14-day chart, workload per agent, reports with SLA %, CSV export.
- Governance
- Audit log of every action with user and IP, user and category management.
Security controls
| Control | What it stops |
|---|---|
| Prepared statements (PDO) | SQL injection. |
| CSRF token on every form | Actions sent from another site. |
| Login throttling | Password guessing. |
| One-time passwords after a reset | Old or shared passwords that stay in use. |
| Checked uploads and downloads | Scripts as files and reading files of other people. |
Try it yourself
# PHP 8.1+ with pdo_sqlite (or MySQL). No framework, no Composer, no build step.
php -S 127.0.0.1:8080 # or upload the folder to any PHP hosting
# open http://127.0.0.1:8080/install.php → SQLite or MySQL → the first admin account
php seed.php # optional: demo data with users for every roleWhat I learned
- Most tickets are the same ten questions: a good knowledge base saves more time than a faster agent.
- A clear owner and a deadline on every request changes how a team works.
- Security belongs in the first version: CSRF, throttling and upload rules are hard to add later.
